We require 48 hours notice in advance or the deposit will be forfeited.
Punctuality & Courtesy
As a courtesy to other clients following your appointment, late arrivals will result in a reduction of treatment time. Please do not ask the impossible, we will endeavour to carry out what we can within the time slot allocated, or suggest a re-booking. All times stated include preparation of room and client; i.e. 5 minutes at the beginning and end of each treatment.
Mobile Phones
Please switch off mobile phones during your visit to the salon.
Courses
All treatments are available in a course of 6 ‘BUY 6, GET 5% OFF’ and course of 12 ‘BUY 12. GET 10% OFF’. Courses must be completed within 6 or 12 months. Courses are not transferrable or refundable. Full payment on first appointment.
Hygeine
Salon hygeine is, of course, the utmost importance and to achieve optimal cleanliness all our sterilisation equipment is approved by the local Environmental Health Officer. We only use new sterilised disposable needles for each client.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for up to six months from the date of purchase. They can be used for any beauty treatments and products at ‘World of Beauty by Katy’. There is no cash redemption.
Payment
We accept most credit cards (American Express in not accepted). All prices include value added tax at the current rate.
Additional information
Food
Always allow at least 1 hour to digest your meals before having body treatments.
Alcohol
Never consume alcohol before any treatment.
Medical Conditions
If you have any of the following it is essential to tell your therapist before your body treatment: Pacemaker, Heart Condition, Diabetes, Allergies, Epilepsy, Contact Lenses, Pregnancy, Metal Plates or Pins, Coil. Some electrical treatments are prohibited if any of the conditions apply to you.
Waxing
Do not have any heat treatments or undertake exercise (e.g. sauna, sunbed, jacuzzi, workout or swim etc.) less than 8 hours before or 24 hours after your wax.
Laser treatment
Avoid sports and strenuous exercise for two days following the treatment for laser hair removal. Walking is encouraged though. Avoid very hot baths, showers, swimming steam baths, saunas or perfumed products for 48 hours.
Do apply Antiseptic Gel or calming cream 3/4 days after your treatment.
The skin indeed gets more sensitive to the sun after laser treatments. Therefore, it is an essential and absolute must to apply sunscreen or other sun protection after the procedure. It’s more beneficial to keep away from exposure to direct sunlight completely.
